
A British man accused of the statutory rape of a St Joseph teenager appeared in court Thursday.
Mohammed Ashref Rahman, 23, of London, was charged last month with statutory rape for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old girl. Police say he met the girl online.
On Thursay, Rahman waived his preliminary hearing on the charge.
He is now scheduled to appear in court again January 27.
Rahman remains behind bars, unable to post $75,000 bond.
