A light freezing mist will continue across northern Missouri through late morning before temperatures warm above freezing. The rest of the region will remain at or above freezing with drizzle and light rain common. Nonetheless, some side roads as well as overpasses could remain icy into mid-morning so be extra careful driving during the morning commute to work. The rain will end from west to east this evening. As colder air works in from the west some light snow is possible across northwest Missouri with less than half an inch forecast. The weekend promises much warmer temperatures with readings heading above 50 by Sunday for areas south of the Missouri River.
