A Missouri man was injured in a Wednesday morning law enforcement pursuit and rollover accident in Nodaway County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol thirty-one year old Dustin L. Smith of Independence was driving a 2014 Ford Focus north on US 71, 5 miles south of Maryville.

A Nodaway County Sheriff was pursuing him.  Smith hit a tire deflation device, skidded out of control and travelled off the west side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a road sign, overturned and came to rest on its wheels in the median.  Smith had minor injures.
