A non-profit in our stands to collect big bucks from Eagle Communications this fall.

The owners of St Joseph Post are sponsoring “BaconFest St Joe MO” on September 27 at St Joseph Civic Arena.

The celebration of all things bacon will also serve as a fundraiser for a non-profit group that serves children in the area.

There will be live music, contests, and a lot of fun bacon-related activities. Oh, and lots of bacon-related food too!

Sales Manager Jenny Cathcart says they have not yet chosen the non profit.

“All you have to do is tells us your story, how you would use the money to serve children, and allow us to publicise your story,” Cathcart said during the announcement Thursday at Civic Arena.
