One man died in a Monday night crash in Platte County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol at 10:10 p.m., twenty-nine- year old Anthony J. Battaglia of Kansas City drove a 2002 GMC Yukon off the right side of west bound Mo. 152 at I 435 and hit a parked 2005 Chevy Malibu driven by 64 year old Donald G. Rippy of Kansas City, before continuing west and hitting another parked unoccupied vehicle.

Rippy and a passenger in the Malibu, 17-year-old Elgin R. Parker of Kansas City were transported to North Kansas City Hospital. Rippy was pronounced dead just before 11:30 p.m.
