Student Tickets On Sale Monday For Spring Concert At Northwest

Country artists Gloriana, Jana Kramer and Sarah Darling are on the bill for the spring concert at Northwest Missouri State university April 12. Tickets go on sale for students Monday.

It will also mark the first time Northwest’s Student Activities Council will offer concessions at Bearcat Arena.

Student tickets are $10 and available at the Student Services Center on the first floor of the Administration Building, beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24. Remaining tickets will be available to the general public for $20, starting at 8 a.m. Monday, March 3.

At that time, tickets also will be available for purchase via phone by calling 660.562.1212 or online.

Michael Eppley, the Student Activities Council’s director of concert programming, said the student group is pleased to bring what promises to be an energizing show with multiple artists to Bearcat Arena.

Due to the length of the show, Eppley said that for the first time SAC also will sell concessions at the arena.

Sarah Darling, who The New York Times called “a sophisticated songwriter with a crisp, powerful voice,” has garnered country radio play with singles including “Jack of Hearts,” “Whenever It Rains,” “Something to Do With Your Hands,” “Home to Me” and “Little Umbrellas.”

Darling, an Iowa native, also has been spotted on “Conan,” “FOX & Friends,” CNN, ABC’s “The Bachelor,” GAC, CMT and AXS-TV, in addition to dozens of appearances on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage.

Gloriana is an award-winning vocal group whose current single “Best Night Ever” is the first off their forthcoming studio album set to release this year. The critically-acclaimed vocal trio featuring Tom Gossin, Rachel Reinert and Mike Gossin are known best for the beautiful harmonies and lyrical conversations evident on their latest release, “A Thousand Miles Left Behind.”

Jana Kramer found her success with four songs featured on The CW’s “One Tree Hill,” on which she plays the firecracker actress, Alex Dupre. She also has held roles on “Friday Night Lights” and “90210,” among other small television and film roles. Kramer launched her country music career in 2012 with a self-titled album that spawned the single “Why Ya Wanna.” The singer-songwriter has since built a reputation for emotionally moving songs and sweet, country vocals.
