Authorities are warning you to steer clear of a busy highway in South St Joseph

6:10 AM PER NIXLE ALERT:
St Joseph Police are urging you to avoide the area of 759-highway from Alabama to Bluff View. The road is blocked by what authorities describe as a chemical spill.

 

6:21: PER DISPATCHERS
No ambulances sent. Road is very slick. St Joe Fire and PD are on the scene.

6:38: Per Nixle Alert
Police say you should also avoid the area of Lake Avenue and Alabama.

8:15:  Dispatchers say the roads are still closed.

10:20: St Joe Police say Alabama would remain closed “for another half hour, as crews work with railroad personnel coordinating cleanup.”
