Rep. Sam Graves co-sponsored the HHeatt Act to help families in Mo. He wrote on his facebook page about legislative action on the bill.
“The House has acted to provide relief to North Missouri families affected by this winter’s propane shortage. The U.S. Department of Transportation previously issued emergency declarations to allow tank truck operators delivering propane and other home heating fuels to drive for longer hours to speed up deliveries to affected states. However, these declarations can only last 30 days at a time. Today the House passed a longer-term solution with the HHEATT Act, which I cosponsored, to provide a guaranteed extension of these declarations until May 31, 2014. I will continue to monitor this situation and do everything I can to make sure Missouri has the resources it needs.”
