The identity of the deceased party found at the disturbance call Tuesday night in the 18000 block of Interurban Road is Darrell W. Brooks, 56.

In a news release, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office says Brooks’ step-son, James F. Gibson, Jr., 59, is currently on a twenty-four hour investigative hold at the Platte County Detention Center.

The Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into the death of Mr. Brooks is still on-going at this time.
