Results Encouraging From St Patrick’s Day Sobriety Checkpoint

MSHP badge goldTroop H announced the results of Monday’s St Patrick’s day sobriety checkpoint involving state troopers, St Joseph police, Savannah police, and deputies from Buchanan, Andrew and Nodaway counties.

Captain Duane Robinson, the commanding officer of Troop H, says the officers contacted 794 vehicles and arrested one motorist for DWI.

Captain Robinson said, “the objective of DWI enforcement projects is to deter drinking and driving and to make citizens aware that drinking and driving will not be tolerated.”
