Two St. Joseph women were injured in a Monday morning crash on I-29 in Buchanan County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol a 1996 Chevy Blazer driven by Sharon S. Waggoner, 19, St. Joseph was northbound on I-29 at US 36., just before 11 a.m.

The vehicle went off the east side of the road; hit a guardrail and a road sign. The vehicle then slid into a concrete post

Waggoner and a passenger in the vehicle Deborah S. Filley, 49, St. Joseph were transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center. The MSHP reports that both women were wearing seat belts.
