The Northwest Missouri State men’s and women’s tennis teams each picked up non-conference victories over Truman State on Wednesday. The men moved to 8-1 on the season with a 9-0 sweep over the Bulldogs. The women beat Truman State, 7-2, to move to 8-8 on the season.
The men picked up victories from Sergio De Vilchez, Romain Boissinot, Alvaro Riveros, Julien Currone, Hicham Azzaoui and Fin Glowick on the singles side. De Vilchez and Altimires won at No. 1 doubles, Riveros and Currone won at No. 2 doubles and Romain Boissinot teamed with Amery Clews for a win at No. 3 doubles.
On the women’s side, Lorena Rivas Jarolim, Alexis Bartek, Aniek Kolen, Stephanie Mannix and Marianne Hull all won on the singles side for the Bearcats. In doubles, the team of Jarolim and Bartek won at No. 1 while Kolen and Mannix won at No. 2.
Both Northwest men’s and women’s teams will take on Harding University on Friday, March 28 in Bolivar, Mo.
