The St. Joseph Community YMCA Campus is moving along on schedule for an October 2014 Grand Opening.

Mark Cartledge, YMCA CEO; presents Bruce Woody, City Manager; with a check for $40,000 from our Pioneering Healthy Communities Team, Chaired by Pat Dillon. These funds will be used by the City of St. Joseph to build new youth and adult stretching and fitness stations on the new City Park’s, St. Joseph Community Campus walking trail.
Thanks to Al J Mueller (Brett Hausman) and River Bluff Architects (Reed Graves), our additional Campus Family Branch now has a strong foundation to build on our Y Mission programs and services… The above picture will soon become the Entrance to the new Campus Family YMCA Branch
The new Water Main Extension that is being paid for through our “Building Dreams – Growing Lives Capital” Campaign will serve fresh water to our new St. Joseph Community Campus. A big thank you to Wynn Morgan from Missouri American Water, Stan Ehrhardt the owner of Candlewood Extended Stay Hotel and the new Holiday Inn Express for all your help on this project. Thanks to their help and assistance (rebates and in-kind support) this project should build needed infrastructure for Buchanan County’s Corporate Wellness Park
The strong city, county, and YMCA partnership has created a foundation for a healthier St. Joseph community.
