Brown-Blunt Manufacturing Jobs Bill Takes Big Step Forward

BluntWASHINGTON, D.C. – As U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) continues his efforts to promote American innovation and boost U.S. manufacturing in an increasingly global economy, the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee today passed by voice vote the bipartisan “Revitalize American Manufacturing and Innovation Act,” introduced by Blunt and U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (Ohio). The bill would strengthen American innovation and position the United States as the global leader in advanced manufacturing by establishing a Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NMI).

“I’m pleased we’ve taken the next step to advance this bipartisan bill which would strengthen American innovation and job creation and position our nation as the global leader in advanced manufacturing by establishing an important network of partnerships in Missouri and across the country,” Blunt said. “I thank Senator Brown for his tireless work to revitalize U.S. manufacturing, and I’ll keep working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass pro-growth policies that encourage innovation and put more Americans back to work.”
