The Northwest Missouri State tennis teams split road MIAA matches at Southwest Baptist on Thursday. The men’s team picked up a 5-4 win, after falling behind early, 4-1. The women’s team lost 9-0 to SBU. The men’s team is now 12-2 on the year and a perfect 4-0 in conference play. The women’s team is now 10-11 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
The men’s team put together a strong singles performance after dropping all three points in doubles. Romain Boissinot won at No. 2 singles and Alvaro Rivers came from a set down at No. 3 singles to pick up a deciding point for Northwest. Lluis Altimires won at No. 4, Hicham Azzaoui was victorious at No. 5 and Fin Glowick picked up a straight-set win at No. 6.
The Bearcat men will play Ouchita Baptist on Friday and the women will playArkansas Tech. On Saturday, Northwest will take on Midwestern State.
