HAMILTON—A teenage driver was injured in a Wednesday morning crash in Caldwell County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred as a 2001 Mazda driven by McKenzie C. Wilson, 16, Hamilton was westbound on Old US 36 at Spring Hill Road just east of Hamilton and went off the right side of the road.

The driver overcorrected, came back on to the road and into a slide sideways. The vehicle went back off the right side of the road backwards striking an embankment and overturned.

Wilson was transported to Hedrick Medical Center.
