A St. Joseph woman was injured in an Andrew County accident on Easter Sunday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix driven Dakota A. Jones, 22, St. Joseph was northbound on RT. CC at US 59 just before 2 a.m.

The driver lost control of the vehicle. It spun in a counter clockwise manner, traveled off the road and struck a sign.

The vehicle crossed US 59 and traveled off the north side of US 59 causing the vehicle to overturn. Jones was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The MSHP reported Jones was not wearing a seat belt.
