SAVANNAH–A St. Joseph boy was injured in an ATV crash on Sunday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Honda TRX 650 driven by Kenneth C. Krull, 37, St. Joseph was eastbound on a trail just east of Savannah.

The passenger Dayton C. Krull, 7, St. Joseph accidentally hit the throttle of the vehicle. The driver was unable to control the ATV and it hit a tree.

The child was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center.

The MSHP did not indicate if they were wearing helmets..
