Arbor Day Tree Planting At Hyde Elementary

Arbor Day LogoThe City of St Joseph, along with state agencies and Hyde Elementary school will once again celebrate National Arbor Day with a tree planting.

A new tree, donated by KCP&L, will be planted with the help from the fourth grade classes.

The tree planting event will be held at 10am, Friday, April 25, 2014, at Hyde Elementary School, located at 509 Thompson Street.

 

The St. Joseph community will also be recognized as a Tree City USA for the 21st year. To receive the Tree City USA designation, a community must have a tree care ordinance, tree board or department, community forestry program with an annual budget of at least $2 per capita, and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
