A Chillicothe police officer was bound over for trial Tuesday on rape and sodomy charges.

A special prosecutor laid out the case against Brent Schade in a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Livingston County.   Schade and Amanda Gault are accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman after a long night of drinking games at Schade’s home in March.

Schade was placed on administrative leave by the Chillicothe Police Department in January after he was accused of evidence tampering and hindering the prosecution of a local DWI case.

He is being held at the Daviess/Dekalb County Regional Jail pending his next court appearance May 13th.   Gault was scheduled to waive her preliminary hearing Wednesday.
