As expected, a Chillicothe woman waived her preliminary hearing on sodomy charges.

Prosecutors say Amanda Gault lured the victim to the home of a Chillicothe police officer for a drinking party. The victim says she was drugged and sexually assaulted by Gault and suspended officer Brent Schade.

Schade was bound over for trial Tuesday after a preliminary hearing.

Both suspects are due back in court next month.

The victim told investigators she met Gault on Facebook via a “friend” request. She says she was hesitant to go out with Gault because she was hung over. But, she agreed when Gault showed up at her home. Authorities urge caution with face-to-face meetings with people you meet online.
