PLATTSBURG—One person was injured, another arrested in a Friday evening crash in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 New Holland farm tractor driven by Blake M. Stephens, 22, Plattsburg, was northbound on Route Y a mile north of Plattsburg. The tractor was making a left turn into a private drive.

A 1991 Acura driven by Justin W. Gillette, 26, Gallatin was northbound on Route Y attempting to overtake the tractor. The Acura struck the front of the tractor, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a mailbox.

The driver overcorrected, spun 180 degrees, traveled off the east side of the road and came to rest in the ditch.

Gillette was arrested and taken to Clinton County Sheriff’s office.

A passenger in the Acura Amanda M. Eaton, 26, Gallatin, was transported to Heartland Hospital. Stephens was not injured.
