The annual Arts Fund campaign is asking for your help. Allied Arts Council Executive Director Teresa Fankhauser announced Wednesday that the drive has reached only 63 percent of its goal.
Donations so far total just under $125,000, well short of the $198,000 needed to fund arts programming in the community. Fankhauser says the seven nonprofit organizations receiving Arts Fund monies go through a stringent allocation process that measures the effectiveness of the agencies’ programs and fiscal accountability.
This year’s funded non-profit agencies include Creative Arts Productions, Midwest Artist Association, Performing Arts Association, RiverSong, St. Joseph Community Chorus, Saint Joseph Symphony, and the Allied Arts Council. Fankhauser says it’s not too late to support the arts in our community. To contribute, click here.
