According to court documents, the suspect struck the victim in the face several times, knocking her unconscious.
When she awoke she discovered her clothes had been removed.
The victim was later examined at Heartland Regional Medical Center. According to a sworn affidavit of probable cause, numerous bruises where observed on her genitals and breasts.
Robert Rogers is being held without bond for the incident May 2. A judge denied bond after ruling Rogers poses a continuing threat of danger to the victim.
During a court appearance Tuesday, Rogers said he would apply for a public defender. A preliminary hearing is scheduled May 30 before Judge Keith Marquart.
