HOPKINS—A Missouri man died in a motorcycle accident just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred as a 2011 Kawasaki driven by Brad A. Peve, 39, Hopkins, was southbound on Mo. 148 one mile north of Hopkins.

The motorcycle crossed over the center line and struck the passenger side of a northbound 2012 Dodge pickup driven by Glenda K. Wetzel, 60, Bedford, IA.

The truck attempted to avoid the collision but stayed in the northbound lane. The motorcycle traveled off the east side of the road and the driver was ejected. Peve was pronounced dead at the scene. He was transported to Bram-Banfelt Funeral home in Maryville.
