Residential real estate sales increased in April compared to last month and last year, but the number of homes sold thus far this year is down compared to last year.

According to the St Joseph Regional Association of Realtors, there were 347 homes sold this year through April, compared to 358 at this time last year.

April home sales were worth slightly more than $13 million. Home sales totaled just under 11.5 million in April of 2013.

There were 109 homes sold in April, compared to 111 homes sold in April of 2013. Year to date through April home sales totalled $38,229,416, which is down nearly one percent from the same figure in 2013.
