Expect delays this week on Sixth Street/US-59 highway on St Joe’s south side. The city will be doing street repair and asphalt replacement between Atchison and East Lake Boulevard.

Sixth street will remain open to one lane in each direction for the duration of the work. Weather permitting, officials hope the project will be completed by Friday, May 23.

Westbound traffic on East Lake Boulevard will not be permitted to turn right (northbound) on 6th Street during the repairs. Westbound East Lake Boulevard traffic will detour south on 6th Street, turning on Illinois to King Hill Avenue, then back onto 6th Street.
