PLATTE CITY, Mo. (AP) — Traffic had been down to one lane on a section of Interstate 29 after a cattle truck overturned near Platte City.
The accident occurred early Friday. The Missouri Highway Patrol says the truck driver was not seriously injured but the truck is on its side, blocking traffic.
Several cattle escaped. The patrol says some of the animals might not have survived.
The truck driven by Gary A. Johnson, 41, Prairie City, IA. traveled off the left side of the road, stuck a barrier cable and overturned.
Johnson was transported to St. Lukes Hospital with minor injuries.
