Car goes airborne, Mo. woman injured in Monday night crash

Missouri Highway Patrol MHPBRAYMER-A Missouri woman was seriously injured a Caldwell County crash at 11 p.m. on Memorial Day

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Dodge Challenger driven by Kendra J. Barnard, 26, Braymer, was eastbound on MO. 116 2 miles east of Braymer at a high rate of speed.

The driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a guardrail, slid on top of the guardrail and became airborne.

The vehicle traveled across a creek, struck an embankment and rolled end over end.

Lifeflight transported Barnard to North Kansas City Hospital. The MHP reported she was not wearing a seat belt.
