CAMERON–A Missouri man was injured in a Memorial Day accident in Daviess County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Jeep Wrangler driven by Robert E. Bankson, 54, Trenton, was southbound on I-35 three miles north of Cameron.
The driver attempted to make a lane change from the driving to the passing lane, observed a vehicle in the passing lane and overcorrected. The vehicle skidded off of the west side of the highway, struck a ditch with the undercarriage causing it to overturn. The driver was ejected through the sunroof.
Lifeflight Eagle flew Bankson to Truman Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
The MHP reports Bankson was not wearing a seat belt.
