LEAVENWORTH—Four people were injured in a crash at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday in Leavenworth County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 1999 Nissan Maxima driven by Tyler A. Theno, 18, Winchester, was northbound on 187th 5 miles west of Leavenworth.

The vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign and struck a 1998 Chevy Lumina that was eastbound on K-92. James D. Cheaney, Colo, IA, drove the Lumina.

Theno was transported to KU Medical Center. Cheaney and two children in the Lumina were transported to Cushing Hospital.

The KHP reported one of the children in the Lumina was not properly restrained at the time of the accident.
