Saint Joseph police are investigating reports that two people on foot exchanged gunfire in the midtown area last night. Officers did not find any shooters when they arrived at 18th and Charles Street shortly before 8 pm. But they did find shell casings on the ground.

It’s not known if anybody was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 238-TIPS.
