CAMERON- A Missouri teenager was seriously injured in a Wednesday head-on crash in Daviess County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Edgar Hernandez, 17, Kansas City was northbound on I-35 five miles north of Cameron.
The vehicle traveled off the west side of the road at the median crossover, went airborne, struck the ground, traveled into the southbound lanes of I-35 and struck a 2006 Chevy pickup head-on.
Hernandez was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center and then flown by Life-Flight to Truman Medical Center.
The truck driver William W. Wyant, 66, Martinsville, was not injured.
The MHP reported Hernandez was not wearing a seat belt.
