At least half a dozen St Joseph gasoline retailers raised their prices this week by 16 cents a gallon.
The average price in St Joseph is now $3.342/gallon, up from $3.313 last week. But some vendors raised their prices from $3.29 to $3.45 per gallon on Wednesday and Thursday.
The average cost to fill a 15 gallon tank in St Joseph is now just over $50, compared to $49.70 last week.
According to the driving club AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular was $3.651 on Thursday. That’s a tenth of a cent higher than the average Wednesday, and two tenths from a week ago, but still about four cents cheaper than the national average a month ago.
The statewide average in Missouri rose nearly two cents Thursday to $3.404/gallon. Triple-A reports that’s still among the cheapest prices in the country. The average price for a gallon of regular in Kansas was $3.458 on Thursday, up nearly two cents from Wednesday’s average.
