BETHANY–A teenager was injured in a Saturday morning accident with a deer in Harrison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Chrysler van driven by Gunner L. Barton, 19, Ames, IA., was southbound on I-35 eight miles south of Bethany.
The vehicle struck a deer that went through the front windshield and into the front passenger compartment.

Barton was transported to Harrison County Community Hospital. Three additional passengers in the vehicle were treated at the scene. The MSHP reported two passengers in the vehicle were not wearing seat belts.
