EDWARDSVILLE- A Missouri man was injured in a motorcycle accident just after 9 p.m. on Saturday night in Wyandotte County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1990 Harley Davidson driven by Richard P. Cornwell, Grain Valley, Mo., was northbound on the ramp to southbound I-435.

The driver attempted to pass another vehicle on the left shoulder, lost control of the motorcycle and laid it over.

Cornwell was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

The KHP reported he was not wearing a helmet.
