A memorial service and dedication were held today at the Helen Davis State School for the developmentally disabled.

School officials, students and members of the Kiwanis Club gathered Tuesday afternoon to rededicate a memorial birdbath in the school’s “Sensory Garden.”

It was a way to remember two longtime students of the school who died over the last year.

But Principal Debby Lucast says the ceremony is a way to remember all of their students who have passed away.
