Power Line Meetings Scheduled In Our Area

power linesThe company behind the controversial Grain Belt Express power line project will hold three meetings in our area this week.

Clean Line Energy argues that the transmission lines will deliver wind power to 200,000 Missouri homes, will support Missouri manufacturing and construction jobs, and bring property tax dollars to local taxing districts for decades.

Opponents of the project complain about the effect on the beauty of the area, their property values, and the impact the lines would have on farming and tourism industries.

Clean Line is hosting office-hour meetings this week in our area. The meetings will be held at the American Legion Post in Lathrop on Tuesday, at the Lions Club in Braymer on Wednesday and at the Community Center in Agency on Friday. The hours are between four pm and eight pm.
