HEMPLE, Mo. – Diane (Danica) Sut Ambrozi, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at her home.
She was born November 1, 1922 in East Chicago, Ind., daughter of Julia and John Sut. She graduated from Washington high school, East Chicago. She moved to St. Joseph in 1943 and met Martin. They married July 5, 1943. During WWII she worked as a welder, she retired from Everett School as the Cafeteria Manager after 15 years of service. She was a wonderful, cook, mother and grandmother. She loved babies, artwork and especially fashion design and designed her own clothes. She loved sports, ran track in high school, played softball, and played volley ball at Everett school with the faculty. She was also very proud of her Catholic faith. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sons, Martin III, Eric, John, Adam, and Dale Ambrozi, a daughter, Rose Marie Ambrozi, and a granddaughter, Rachael Dodds. two brothers, Nick and Jan Sut, and five sisters, Ann, Eleanor, Marilyn, Kay, and Julie.
Survivors include three sons: Fritz Ambrozi I (Gina McEnaney) of St. Joseph; Jan Ambrozi (Joy Clark) of Hemple; and Kurt mbrozi of St. Joseph; two daughters – Diane (Joe) Jorgensen of Canton, Mo.; Christine (Patrick) Eckhardt of St. Joseph; two sisters – Dorothy Mileusnich, and Rose Kobal of Indiana; 19 Grandchildren- Martin, Gretchen, Jason, Kim, Chris, Fritz, Conrad, Autumn, Austin, Josh, Kyle, Rachael, Dakotah, Jerikoh, Shiloh, Jan Michael, Landinn, Karleigh and Gannon; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday at upp Funeral Home. MOUND CITY, Mo. – George Wilson, 91, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born May 31, 1923 to George and Mamie (Finchum) Wilson in Avenue City, Mo.
He married Mary Ellen Dunkelberger on December 5, 1947. She survives of the home.
George proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of First Christian Church in Mound City, Missouri and was on the Holt County Co-Op Board.
Mr. Wilson was a dedicated farmer, engaged in row crop and livestock production.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard Wilson; sister, Maxine Myers; and two half-sisters, Essie Finchum and Pearl Brand.
Additional Survivors: son, Gerald Wilson (Beverly Callow), Mound City; daughters, Jeanie Mackey, Mound City; and Jane Moyers (Don) Mound City; son, Charles Wilson, Gower, Mo.; six grandchildren, Matt and Chris Mackey, Michelle Baker (Steven), Amy Engeman (T.J.), Cody Moyers (Amanda) and Brittany Moyers (Chris Brammann); six great-grandchildren, Tate and Kye Mackey, Hailey and Grayson Baker, Nichole Brammann and Macy Moyers; and close family friend, Judi Scarbrough.
Services: 10 a.m., Friday, Pettijohn and Crawford Family Funeral Service. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Pettijohn and Crawford Family Funeral Service, where friends may call after 5 p.m., Thursday. ST. JOSEPH – Willie Orlean Colson Conrad, known to most as Doll, born April 28, 1914, in Ringling, Okla., died June 8, 2014, in St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Raymond C. Conrad, of Springfield, Mo.
Doll was a lifetime member of the Springfield Museum of Art, served on the board of the Southwest Missouri Museum Association, and served a term as president of the Green County Medical Auxiliary. Doll was a member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years, The Bennie Clements Guild and she enjoyed volunteering at her local public television station until she moved to St. Joseph in 2003. Doll was also a member of the Hickory Hills Country Club in Springfield, where she enjoyed golf and bridge.
Doll is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Raymond C. Conrad Jr. and Joed Conrad; daughter and son-in-law Kay Conrad Oldham and Terry Oldham; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Melanie Conrad and her children Jacob, Lilli and Elijah, Katherine Conrad and her children Brenden,Seth and Abigail, Chris Carpenter, Conrad Carpenter, Sarah Carpenter and her son Jack, Amanda Carpenter Durkin her husband Dan and their children Joseph and Johnny, Jennifer Oldham Bertrand and her husband Chris and their son Winston, and Lee Oldham Skoglund and her husband Kyle and their sons Skylar and Gavin; brother Dr. Ted Colson; niece Mary Oberly and her children Sean and Jennifer.

ST. JOSEPH – George Sampson Hughes, 49, died January 7, 2014. Born February 24, 1964 in La Mesa, Texas son of Billie and LeRoy Hughes. They precede him in death.
