The St. Joseph Mustangs picked up their second consecutive win Friday night as they rolled to an 11-0 victory over the Ozark Generals inside Phil Welch Stadium.
St. Joe’s summer college baseball team improves to 21-8 and 13-7 in the MINK League.
The Mustangs scored seven runs in the fourth inning Saturday to break open a scoreless game.
That was more than enough for St. Joseph starter Jake Jones.
Jones, who threw a seven-inning no-hitter last week, was dominate again as he went eight innings, allowing just three hits and striking out nine.
Joe Koerper led the Mustangs offense as he finished 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored.
Kyle Richards and Francisco Alvarez added two hits each, while Lucas Powers and Zac Johnson each scored two runs.
St. Joe is back on the road Sunday as they play at Nevada. The first pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.
