GOWER- Two people were hospitalized after an accident just after 10 a.m. on Friday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Ford F 550 Utility vehicle driven by Brian Blake, 62, St. Joseph, was northbound on U.S. 169 at Gower. The vehicle began to make a right turn onto a service road.
A northbound 2008 Chevy Impala driven by Ronald L. Hay, 71, Edgerton, attempted to avoid the Ford by driving off the east side of the road. The Impala struck the Ford in the passenger side.
Hays and a passenger in the Impala Donna R. Hay, 67, Edgerton, were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital.
Blake was not transported for treatment.
The MHP reported Blake was properly restrained at the time of the collision. The reported indicated it was uncertain if the occupants of the Impala were wearing seat belts.
