ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis County prosecutor Bob McCulloch says a tweet suggesting insider information on the grand jury investigating the Ferguson police officer who shot Michael Brown was the result of someone hacking a woman’s Twitter account.

McCulloch on Thursday released a statement criticizing leaks in the investigation that followed the death of the 18-year-old on Aug. 9 in the St. Louis suburb. A grand jury is deciding if Officer Darren Wilson will be charged.

McCulloch says leaks are not coming from members of the grand jury or anyone associated with it.

An Oct. 1 tweet under the name Susan M. Nichols of Affton suggested a member of the grand jury told her the panel lacked evidence to prosecute. She denied making the tweet, and McCulloch says Nichols’ account had been hacked.
