River Runner Passengers Will Detour Around Bridge Repair By Bus

AMTRAK logoAmtrak passengers riding the Missouri River Runner service between St. Louis and Kansas City will be bused for a portion of the trip on Wednesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 13. The Union Pacific Railroad is replacing a bridge near Lee’s Summit, so the track will be closed.

Passengers on afternoon Trains 316 and 313 on November 12, and on all the trains on Thursday, November 13, will be bused between Kansas City and Jefferson City. All trains are expected to be back to normal operations on Friday, November 14.

 

The work is being completed in advance of the busy Thanksgiving travel week. Passengers are encouraged to book tickets early for holiday travel. The busiest travel days are the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after the holiday.  (MoDOT News Release)
