PRINCETON- The Mercer County Sheriff’s office reports a man who walked away from the courthouse and has been on the lam for weeks is back in custody. Jasen Brent Logan Wright was arrested in Gallatin, when Daviess County authorities checked the home of his girlfriend Mamie Hayes.
Hayes was also arrested, and is in custody under $15,000 bond on one count of Hindering Prosecution of a Felony, which is a class-D felony.
Both are being held at the Daviess/Dekalb County Regional Jail. Wright will be returned to Mercer County on new charges of Escape from Confinement and Tampering with Electronic Monitoring Equipment.
A warrant was issued for Failure to Appear on October 15 after Wright failed to show up for a probation-violation hearing . Wright was placed on probation in May for his guilty plea to domestic-assault charges as a prior offender.
