ST. JOSEPH – Rosalie Harris, died November 12, 2014 at the age of 91.

Rosalie was an exceptional woman. She worked at the Stock Yards Exchange for over thirty years in the insurance business, starting out as an assistant to Tony Lord. She eventually became office manager when the business was acquired by State Farm and continued in that role until her retirement. Rosalie worked in an area usually dominated by men, but her intelligence and hard work overcame that. Rosalie had the loyalty and respect of all her business acquaintances. Rosalie and her late husband, Floyd, were avid outdoorsmen and spent their retirement traveling to either national parks or Lake of the Ozarks.
Thanksgiving dinner will always bring fond memories to the family since Rosalie hosted that day every year until her illness prevented it. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Saxton Care Center for all the years of exceptional care.
