A suspected drunk driver is being blamed for a three-vehicle crash on I-29 in Holt County that sent a Lee’s Summit woman to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Butros Lawrence of Omaha was not injured in the crash, in which he is accused of colliding from the rear with two other motorists on the interstate at mile marker 67.8 shortly after noon Sunday.

But according to an arrest report, Lawrence was taken into custody and charged with DWI and Assault plus several traffic offenses.

The Patrol says 21-year-old Victoria Hubbard was transported with serious injuries to Mosaic Life Care in St Joe. Officials say 96-year-old Delbert Brickey of Mound City, a passenger in the third vehicle, was taken to Fairfax Community Hospital with minor injuries.
