Missouri’s gasoline prices are already among the lowest in the nation, and the prices keep dropping. The market average in St Joseph was $1.875 on Monday, according to AAA. But a number of stations had dropped their prices to $1.839 by Monday.
Currently it will cost you about $28.13 to fill up your 15-gallon tank in St Joe, which is just over half of what it cost you a year ago. Statewide, the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular in Missouri is $1.903. The average price in Kansas is $1.96.
Nationwide, the average price is $2.231, which is down nearly a penny on the day, more than nine cents lower than a week ago, just over 53 cents cheaper than a month ago, and $1.11 cheaper than last year at this time.
