ST. JOSEPH – A St. Joseph man was injured in an accident just before 9:30 a.m. on Friday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Olds Intrigue driven by Gerald W. Ashford, 23, St. Joseph, was eastbound in a field south of Easton Saxton Road two miles southeast of St. Joseph.

The vehicle struck a ditch and overturned.

Ashford was transported to Mosaic Life Care.
The MSHP reported he was not wearing a seat belt.
