2 St. Joseph woman hospitalized after SUV hits road sign, fence

Missouri Highway Patrol  MHPST. JOSEPH- Two women were injured in an accident just before 10 p.m. on Saturday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Chevy Suburban driven by James M. Worley, 48, St. Joseph, was northbound on Route K 2 miles north of St. Joseph. The driver lost control of the vehicle in the snow. It traveled off the left side of the road and hit a road sign. The vehicle continues down an embankment and struck a fence.

Passengers in the Suburban Christine S. Garcia 37, and Amanda Hoffman, 23, both of St. Joseph were transported to Mosaic. Worley was not injured.

The MSHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
