St. Joseph, Mo. – The Missouri Western women’s golf team opened its spring season with the Holiday Inn Express Central Region Invitational on their home course Sunday at the St. Joseph Country Club.
Missouri Western is currently placed sixth out of the 15 teams at the tournament.
The Griffons as a team shot a 327 while Arkansas Tech currently leads the field with a team score of 307 in their opening round.
MWSU’s Celine Lim is tied for the tournament low, scoring a 75 in her first round on Sunday. Madison Romjue and Amber Chivington were finished second and third on the team scoring a 82 and 84, respectively.
The 2015 MWSU/Holiday Inn Express Invitational will conclude tomorrow begin at 10 a.m. Monday morning.
